The vision of the Calvary Training Ministry is to reach out to the Cheat Lake community by using sports as a platform to build relationships as a means to impact families with the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We offer speed, agility and strength training for boys and girls, ages 6 and up. We focus on teaching these young kids the value of hard work and discipline, becoming leaders, and pursuing excellence in their lives, both physically and spiritually.
Calvary Training is not a sports specific program. Our hope is to help athletes of all levels, to grow and improve in all areas, physically and mentally, which will help them in their respective sport. Our ultimate goal is to help foster and guide our young athletes to love God with all of their heart, soul, mind and strength.
Our aim is to enable youth to navigate and stand firm in the changing culture of our society, helping them to understand that our core foundation, true agility and strength come only through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
All participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottle and to dress appropriately for the weather. During inclement weather we will move our training inside the building.
Please download and print the Liability Waiver/Registration Form and bring it with you to your first training session. To pay for the program online, click on the link below. We follow the Monongalia County School calendar. If there is no school on a Monday, we will not be training as well. If there are any exceptions, we will send out an email.
*Children do not need to be involved in sports to participate in Calvary Training.

Kevin grew up in and around sports his whole life. A former college and pro football player, he most recently worked with the WVU football team as a strength and conditioning coach. Kevin felt the call to ministry as the Lord led him to a point in his life where he saw the importance of impacting the youth, through sports, for Jesus Christ.
Jess grew up in and around sports her entire life with her grandfather running recreation fields in New Orleans, LA. A former Volleyball player at Virginia Tech, Jess now works in television here in Morgantown.
Kevin and Jess love the Lord and feel led to use sports as an outreach tool in the Cheat Lake community. Their background and experience has equipped and led them to this point in their lives where they want to impact young athletes for Jesus Christ.
